Born in Italy to Ukrainian immigrants, Veronica has moved to Scotland to study Contemporary Art Practice in Gray's School of Art. She moved to Edinburgh to continue her creative career, working as a freelance digital artist, specialising in design, 3D, video editing, augmented reality and visuals. She VJs for club nights and creates unique visuals for electronic music artists. Her art practice integrates aspects of her personal life experiences and heritage, like the question of belonging for a child of immigrants and issues with her self-esteem and acceptance in a world of selfies and digital profile curation. Veronica self-taught to creative code and started integrated augmented reality and 3D rendering to her art pieces to allow the viewers to be active participants in her digital artworks. A lot of the video work she produces are made with creative coding and file manipulation, to add layers and a new identity to ready-made footage she finds online.
